Solovey's 1st Special Forces Lithograph
On 9/11, while stationed at Ft. Benning, GA, Solovey pulled his ETS packet with the previous goal of becoming an architect. Soon the Army offered him an assignment with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group at Ft. Bragg, NC. At this point, he had only a small handful of military lithographs from his previous duties in Germany & Bosnia. Immediately upon signing-in to 3rd Group, he quickly found himself in Kandahar, Afghanistan in early 2002.
"Bush Hogs" 2002
With only a 13" x 16" piece of stiff canvas board, Solovey produced his first "Combat" piece of fine art in pencil. The original electronic file was not of the best quality due to the rough texture of the canvas.
