Drawing Bosnia.JPG

Solovey's first set of military lithographs that unintentionally began a simple Pen & Ink drawing designed to be given to a redeploying Soldier.  With the digital photo assistance of other colleagues, "96 Combat Patrols Today, Sir" was produced after duty hours late in the evenings.

"96 Combat Patrols Today, Sir" 1998,  Tuzla Base,  Bosnia

When one of the senior officers saw the finished product, he recommended Solovey produce a set of signed & numbered prints.  Ironically, that idea was not even in play.  That one minute piece of advice, would set the ball rolling for the next thirty years.   In 2025, his surviving spouse contacted Solovey & mailed it back to him--the actual original Pen & Ink drawing.   By pure synchronicity, it was on that very same day Solovey also released the 250th Anniversary watercolor for the US Army's birthday.
