As a CGSC Student (Class 01-09) at Ft. Leavenworth,  Solovey submitted the following painting as a proposal for the yearly class gift competing against other civilian military artists. 

Ultimately, the CGSC Foundation selected his work and privately commissioned a set of lithographs.

This painting reflects the joint student body as well as allusions to deployed 9/11 combat service as well as historical & iconic military implements.
